Messi’s journey through India is proving to be more than just entertainment—it’s making a real difference.

Details: Today, social media platform X lit up with footage of three Inter Miami stars—Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, and Rodrigo De Paul—visiting India’s Vantara Wildlife Rescue Center.

Messi, De Paul, and Suárez stopped by the center as part of their Indian tour. They took part in traditional Indian ceremonies, paid their respects to the god Hanuman, and performed the sacred Aarti ritual, a revered tradition in India.

As a gesture of gratitude, the center’s leadership named one of their newborn lion cubs after Messi—Leo.

Earlier, Lionel Messi unveiled a massive statue in his honor, standing an impressive 21 meters tall. But not everything went off without a hitch—many Indian fans were left disappointed by how little time Leo spent with them, sparking unrest at the stadium.
