Sevilla has announced significant changes in its leadership through an official statement on their website.

The new president of the Andalusian club is Jose Maria Del Nido Carrasco, assuming office effective today, December 31st.

Jose Maria Del Nido Carrasco is succeeding Jose Castro Carmona as president.

Jose Carmona is considered one of the most successful presidents in the club's history, he served for a decade. During his tenure, Sevilla secured the Europa League title five times.

Sevilla is experiencing a rather disappointing season. The team currently holds the 15th position in La Liga's table and failed to advance to the European competitions' spring phase. They finished at the bottom of their UEFA Champions League group, gathering only two points from matches against Arsenal, PSV, and Lille.

Throughout the season, Sevilla has replaced two head coaches. Jose Luis Mendilibar was dismissed in October, followed by Diego Alonso leaving his post in December. At present, the team is under the guidance of Kike Sanchez Flores.
