Sevilla has dismissed its second head coach this season
Sevilla has officially announced the dismissal of Uruguayan coach Diego Alonso from his position as the team's head coach.
This decision came hours after the team's decisive 0-3 home defeat to Getafe in La Liga.

Alonso had taken charge of Sevilla since October, succeeding José Luis Mendilibar, who was also dismissed due to unsatisfactory results.
Under Alonso's leadership, Sevilla found themselves in a dire situation. The team failed to secure a win in La Liga during his tenure and currently sits in 16th place in the league standings. Following the latest round of matches, they risk slipping into the relegation zone.
Additionally, Sevilla won't feature in European competitions this spring. They finished last in their UEFA Champions League group, earning only two points in a group that included Arsenal, PSV, and LASK.
Alonso's tenure with Sevilla marked his first experience managing a European club. Previously, he coached the Uruguayan national team, Inter Miami, Monterrey, Pachuca in Mexico, Olimpia and Guaraní in Paraguay, and Peñarol in Uruguay.
Sevilla's next match is scheduled for December 19th, away against Granada in the Spanish championship.
