A historic Egyptian football club relegated to the second division
The first club in the country to win the CAF Champions League
Ismaily SC leaves the top flight of Egyptian football for the first time in 68 years.
This is a major blow for Ismaily SC, which has endured a nightmare season in the league. The club had not experienced such an outcome since the 1957–58 season. But it was unable to avoid this relegation at the end of the 2025–26 season.
Beaten by Wadi Degla (1–2) on Tuesday, Ismaily SC is officially relegated to the Egyptian second division. A chapter in the history of Egyptian professional football has come to a close for the time being.
Ismaïly SC is the first Egyptian club to win the CAF Champions League. It has been crowned Egyptian Premier League champions three times and has won the Egyptian Cup twice.
