A heavy blow for Bayern! Star Moroccan midfielder undergoes surgery and is ruled out for an extended period
Bayern Munich have suffered a significant personnel blow: midfielder Ismaël Saibari, who also represents Morocco, will be sidelined for an extended period due to a serious leg injury.
Details: According to Sky Sport DE, citing Bayern sporting director Max Eberl, the 25-year-old successfully underwent surgery the previous day after tearing his syndesmosis ligament. Club doctors expect the Moroccan's rehabilitation to take between three and four months.
Bayern sporting director Max Eberl personally commented on the midfielder's condition:
“The operation went well yesterday. He was already having lunch with us today. I was completely surprised and asked him how long it would take—two or three weeks. He laughed a little and replied: ‘Two and a half.’ That probably won't be the case. We expect him to be out for three to four months due to the syndesmosis ligament tear.”
It is worth noting that Ismaël Saibari is an important part of Bayern's rotation and a key player for the Moroccan national team. His prolonged absence will significantly limit the team's tactical options in the Bundesliga and Champions League.
