A German referee to take charge of an Egyptian Premier League match
The match will be played at Cairo International Stadium
Robert Schröder has been appointed to referee the clash between Zamalek and Al Ahly.
The two great Cairo rivals face off on Friday 1 May in the Egyptian league play-offs. Matches between Zamalek and Al Ahly are often the subject of refereeing controversies.
The two major Cairo clubs frequently criticise refereeing decisions to the extent of requesting a foreign refereeing team. It is in response to this request that German referee Robert Schröder has been appointed to take charge of this Cairo derby. The match is scheduled for Friday 1 May at 5 pm GMT at Cairo International Stadium.
