Former NBA player Chase Budinger, who once played for the Houston Rockets, will compete in the Olympic Games, but not as a basketball player.

According to Basket News, Budinger has qualified for the Paris Olympics as part of the USA's second-best beach volleyball team. Chase will compete alongside Miles Evans. Each country can be represented by a maximum of two pairs in the Olympics.

Notably, the 36-year-old Budinger ended his basketball career in 2017 after playing in the EuroLeague for Baskonia, where he averaged 6.8 points in 29 games. Chase spent seven seasons in the NBA, playing for Houston, Minnesota, Indiana, and Phoenix from 2009 to 2016.

It is worth mentioning that this summer, apart from the Euros, there will be a football tournament at the Olympics. Many footballers aspire to compete in Paris, although not all clubs are willing to release their stars.
