A former Chelsea employee admits to defrauding the club
Chelsea are currently in excellent form and delivering strong results, but it turns out there were internal issues at the club — problems that, fortunately, are now being resolved.
Details: According to Matt Law, one Chelsea employee has pleaded guilty to defrauding the club of more than £200,000.
Walsh, who served as an assistant finance manager at Chelsea, admitted to dishonestly abusing her position to obtain £208,521.65. The offences occurred between 8 June 2019 and 23 October 2023.
Earlier we reported that Mykhailo Mudryk, the 24-year-old Ukraine international and Chelsea winger, voluntarily underwent a polygraph test to prove he has never knowingly used banned substances at any point in his career.
Reminder: Chelsea’s new owners, who took control of the club in 2022, have pushed for the construction of a new stadium, but significant obstacles stand in the way, and the project is becoming increasingly unrealistic.
