According to the source, there was a substantive conversation between the coach and Bayern board member Uli Hoeness in recent days.

Flick has been without a job since being dismissed from the German national team last fall. The 58-year-old coach achieved significant success during his time at Bayern. Under his guidance, the Munich powerhouse won the German championship twice and clinched the UEFA Champions League once.

Earlier reports suggested that Flick was the leading candidate to become the head coach of Barcelona. The club's president, Joan Laporta, wants to see him with the team.
