Newcastle continues to be active in the transfer market. This time, the Magpies have turned their attention to Everton's forward. According to The Guardian, the coaching staff is open to acquiring Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The 27-year-old English forward has a current contract with the Toffees until the summer of 2025. The remaining duration of his contract is prompting Everton to take specific actions. It's possible that Dominic will sign a new agreement with the club, but his departure this summer seems more likely.

Newcastle aims to create competition for Swedish forward Alexander Isak and therefore wants to accelerate negotiations with Everton for the transfer of Calvert-Lewin.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been representing Everton since August 2016, having transferred from Sheffield United. In the last season, the Englishman played 38 matches for the Toffees, scoring 8 goals and providing 3 assists.
