Italy may soon appoint a new head coach.

Details: According to renowned and respected journalist and insider Nicolò Schira on his X social media page, 61-year-old head coach of Qatari club Al Sadd, Roberto Mancini, has expressed his willingness to return as head coach of the Italy national team.

Reports indicate that Mancini is prepared to accept a significant pay cut to secure the coveted position. At the moment, in addition to Mancini, Antonio Conte and Allegri are also being considered as candidates for the Italy head coach role.

Mancini previously managed the Italy national team from 2018 to 2023. His biggest achievement with the Azzurri was clinching the Euro 2020 title, bringing the trophy back to Italy for the first time since 1968.
