A chance to restart his career? Thabiso Monyane could swap Orlando Pirates for Kaizer Chiefs

After Orlando Pirates officially confirmed their parting ways with Thabiso Monyane and Paseka Mako, Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly set their sights on one of the departing players. This is according to The South African.
Reports indicate that Chiefs have been offered the opportunity to sign Monyane as a free agent. Such a move comes as a surprise, as direct transfers between these two fierce rivals are a rarity in South African football. Until recently, the only example of such a deal was Bongani Sam’s transfer, which marked the first set of negotiations between Pirates and Chiefs in quite some time.
For the record, Thabiso Monyane is a product of the Orlando Pirates academy and has played for the senior side since 2019. At one point, he became a key player and was even considered for the South African national team, but a series of injuries saw his career decline and led to fewer first-team appearances.
