Kaizer Chiefs have set their sights on talented Ugandan striker Steven Mukwala. A source from thesouthafrican.com has confirmed the club's intention to secure his signature ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

Details: Nasreddine Nabi was spotted at the KMC complex in Tanzania during the Simba vs. Singida match. According to the source, he was closely monitoring Mukwala in action.

Additionally, Kaizer Chiefs' head of scouting, Thembela Maliva, along with Nabi's assistant, held a secret meeting with Mukwala's agent at a private hotel in Dar es Salaam. The potential transfer to the South African side was discussed.

However, any deal could face delays. It is reported that Simba president Mo Dewji has instructed the club not to engage in transfer talks regarding Mukwala until the conclusion of the Tanzanian season, which ends on June 22, 2025.

In addition to Chiefs, Simba have received an offer from Moroccan side Berkane, who are reportedly willing to pay 5.3 million rand for the striker.

It's worth noting that Mukwala's current contract runs until the summer of 2027. In 11 Tanzanian Premier League matches, he has netted 12 goals, making him one of the most prolific forwards in Africa.
