Today’s matchday in the English Premier League brought several unexpected results.

Liverpool, as the league leaders, hosted Fulham at Anfield. The match didn’t go as planned for Arne Slot's side from the very beginning: they conceded a goal in the 11th minute and, six minutes later, were reduced to 10 men after Robertson’s red card. In the second half, Gakpo equalized for Liverpool, but Rodrigo Muniz's goal put Fulham ahead once again. Ultimately, Liverpool managed to avoid defeat thanks to Diogo Jota’s efforts, but it's unlikely they were satisfied with the result.

Interestingly, Arsenal failed to capitalize on Liverpool’s slip-up. Mikel Arteta’s team was unable to break down Everton’s defense at home. Despite dominating possession, the Gunners couldn’t find a way past the Toffees, who managed to leave London with a point.

As a result, Chelsea now has a good opportunity to close the gap in the title race if they can defeat Brentford in tomorrow’s match. Should they win, their deficit to Liverpool will be minimal, although the Reds still have a game in hand.
