This ceremony will take place on the Philippe Chatrier court on the first day of the Roland Garros tournament in 2025, on May 25th.
"Rafa has made history at the French Open in many ways, so we will hold a ceremony in his honor. We want it to be a special, amazing moment," Mauresmo stated.
She also admitted that they wanted to hold a similar ceremony last year, but Nadal himself declined at the time, as he was not yet sure that the last Roland Garros would be his career finale.
Let's recall that Rafael Nadal was the true king of clay in tennis and repeatedly won at Roland Garros. Out of his 22 Grand Slam titles, 14 were claimed at the French Open.
Additionally, this year's Roland Garros will begin on May 25th and run until June 8th.
