Joaquin faces a lengthy recovery period, effectively ruling him out of the World Cup.

Panichelli took a heavy blow to the leg, immediately screamed in pain, and went down on the pitch. The medical team rushed to him and quickly assessed the severity of the injury. After a thorough medical examination, it was confirmed that Panichelli will be sidelined for at least six months and will miss the World Cup.
Two years ago, Panichelli suffered a similar injury and managed to regain his top form, but this time the situation looks much more serious.
This season, Joaquin Panichelli has played 39 matches for Strasbourg, scoring 20 goals and providing 4 assists.
