A blow for AS Monaco! Krépin Diatta ruled out of Champions League clash with PSG
The Senegalese winger is officially not part of AS Monaco's squad travelling to the Parc des Princes on Wednesday 25 February.
This is a significant loss for the Monegasque club in this important match against Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of the Champions League play-offs. His withdrawal was nevertheless predictable after Monaco's last league match against Lens.
Krépin Diatta suddenly sat down on the pitch in the 27th minute, without any apparent contact, just before an opponent cleared the ball. He was then forced to leave the pitch with a thigh injury. Since then, there has been no update on the injury. However, his absence from the squad for the trip to Paris is testament to the seriousness of his injury.
Sébastien Pocognoli will have to find attacking solutions against a PSG side that beat his team 3-2 in the first leg at the Stade Louis-II.
