Milan was reportedly eyeing Strasbourg forward Joaquin Panichelli, but a potential transfer is now in jeopardy due to the player's severe injury.

Strasbourg's striker Joaquin Panichelli suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament during a training session with the Argentina national team. Doctors estimate his recovery will take 5–6 months, effectively ruling out a return to the pitch anytime soon, according to Football Italia.

The player's representatives had previously confirmed Milan's interest, with the Italian club monitoring the forward's progress and considering a possible summer move. However, talks have been put on hold following the serious injury.

It's worth noting that Panichelli has been enjoying a sensational season in Ligue 1, leading the scoring charts with 16 goals. Now, he will miss the remainder of the club season and the World Cup. Remarkably, the striker only made his debut for Argentina last November in a match against Angola.
