€60 million on the table! Newcastle go all-in for Lille star
Newcastle are going all out to secure a new attacking leader.
Details: English side Newcastle United are determined to seal the signing of Lille striker Matias Fernandez-Pardo and are preparing to take the decisive step in negotiations. The Magpies are set to send Lille an official final offer worth €60 million, including bonuses, in a bid to finally convince the French club’s management to let the player go.
Talks between the clubs have reached a climax, and for Newcastle’s board, it’s now or never. The English club is confident that such a substantial bid will help them outpace the competition and secure the 21-year-old Belgian before the current transfer window closes.
It’s worth noting that in the 2025/26 season, the Belgian striker played 29 matches for Lille in Ligue 1, scoring 8 goals and providing 5 assists. According to Transfermarkt, the player’s market value stands at €35 million.
