Maxi Araujo could become the focal point of a new transfer battle in England.

Details: According to exclusive information from Ekrem Konur, Arsenal and Liverpool have been offered the chance to sign the 26-year-old Sporting and Uruguay national team player, Maxi Araujo. Both English clubs are evaluating the midfielder, but neither has made a final decision yet.

Intermediaries have already reached out to potential buyers and informed them that Sporting are willing to consider selling Araujo for the right price. The Portuguese club expects no less than £51.5m for their star.

Now, the scouting departments at Arsenal and Liverpool must decide whether the Uruguayan fits their tactical plans and if the asking price is justified. Araujo himself is keen on a Premier League move, so personal terms are not expected to be an obstacle.

It's worth noting that at the 2026 World Cup, Araujo scored two of Uruguay's three goals. Last season, he also contributed five goals and four assists in the Portuguese league.

Reminder: Transfer bombshell at Anfield! PSG superstar has already said yes to Liverpool.
