The future of Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman at Atalanta remains in serious doubt. The striker could follow Gian Piero Gasperini out of the Bergamo club after a series of clashes with the head coach at the end of last season.
Napoli have emerged as the main contenders for Lookman’s signature and, according to A Bola, have already opened negotiations with a €50 million bid. However, Atalanta’s management were unimpressed by the offer—insisting that talks can only begin at the €60 million mark.
For the record, the 27-year-old Lookman played 40 club matches during the 2024/25 season, scoring 20 goals and providing 7 assists. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value stands at €60 million.
