Scott McTominay has been frequently linked with a departure from Manchester United. Several clubs have shown interest in him, with Napoli emerging as a leading contender.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Italian club continues negotiations with United, but the two sides have yet to agree on a fee. The Daily Mail reports that Napoli has offered €21 million, while the Red Devils are holding out for at least €25 million.

Previously, Fulham was also interested in the player, but they appear to have dropped out of the race, likely due to the signing of Sander Berge from Burnley.

This is the second consecutive off-season in which McTominay has sought to leave Manchester United. Last summer, West Ham was keen to purchase his contract, but the deal ultimately fell through.

The Scottish midfielder's contract with United runs until the end of the current season, and the club is likely interested in selling him to avoid losing him for free.

Last season, McTominay made 43 appearances, scoring ten goals and providing three assists.
