2026 Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup. Bangladesh defeat the USA and advance to the Super 6
On Friday, January 23, the final match of the group stage of the 2026 Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup took place, in which Bangladesh faced the USA.
The match was opened by the representatives of the United States, who scored 199/10 after 50 overs. Then Bangladesh took control of the game and managed to finish the contest in fewer than 42 overs. They outperformed the Americans by seven wickets and secured the victory.
For Bangladesh, this was their first win at the tournament. They now have three points in total and have guaranteed themselves a place in the Super 6, where they will compete in Group 2.
The 2026 Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup is an international limited-overs cricket tournament organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC), which is being held in Zimbabwe and Namibia.
Reminder: The government of Bangladesh has officially announced that their national cricket team will not travel to India for the T20 Cricket World Cup.
