The 2024 Wuhan Open in China has seen its share of surprises, with reigning world champion Kyren Wilson eliminated from the tournament.
Details: The match was a fiercely contested battle between both snooker players. At one point, Kyren Wilson was leading Chinese player Xiao Guodong 2-0. However, in the third frame, the Chinese snooker player managed to turn the tide. Xiao capitalized on Wilson’s mistakes and won the pivotal frame.
Ultimately, Xiao Guodong sensationally defeated reigning world champion Kyren Wilson 5-4, securing a spot in the Round of 16.
Reminder: Australian player Neil Robertson emerged victorious at the English Open snooker tournament. In the final match, he left no chance for China's Wu Yize, winning the encounter with a score of 8-7 in a 17-frame battle.
