2020 Olympic champion Xie Siyi won gold in diving at the Paris Games

Chinese athlete Xie Siyi won the gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics in the men's 3-meter springboard diving event.

Xie secured his victory with a spectacular final dive - a forward somersault with 4.5 twists-that earned him an impressive 100.7 points from the judges. In total, he scored 543.60 points.

The silver medal went to Xie's compatriot, Wang Zongyuan, who scored 530.20 points. The bronze medal was claimed by Osmar Olvera Ibarra of Mexico, with a score of 500.40.

This is Xie Siyi's second Olympic gold medal, as he also won the title at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
