A €125 million signing who refuses to cause trouble! Real Madrid youngster Yan Diomandé has reportedly made a surprising decision about his future under José Mourinho, despite enormous expectations and fierce competition for a starting position.

Details: According to The Touchline, the 19 year old Ivory Coast international completely trusts Mourinho's development plan and accepts that he needs more experience before becoming an undisputed starter. Diomandé reportedly understands his current role and is ignoring discussions surrounding his enormous transfer fee. Instead of demanding guaranteed minutes, the winger is concentrating on improving his game and becoming the best version of himself. The club has not officially commented on the reported attitude.

The development represents a remarkable change from earlier reports suggesting Diomandé was frustrated with his limited playing time. Since arriving from RB Leipzig in August, the teenager has faced enormous pressure to justify his transfer fee. Mourinho, however, has repeatedly emphasised that the player needs tactical development and experience before taking on a permanent starting role.

His latest performance demonstrated why Madrid invested so heavily. During Sunday's 4:1 victory over Sevilla, Diomandé assisted Arda Güler before scoring himself. At 19 years and 338 days, he became Real Madrid's youngest player this century to score and assist in the same La Liga match, surpassing Jude Bellingham's previous record.

With Vinicius Junior suspended domestically, Diomandé could receive further opportunities to impress. However, competition remains intense, and the youngster reportedly prefers patience over confrontation. For Mourinho, having an expensive signing willing to follow his instructions could prove extremely valuable as Madrid fight for major trophies.

It's worth noting that Diomandé joined Real Madrid from RB Leipzig in August 2026 for a reported €125 million. The Ivory Coast international has already broken a club record in La Liga, but his long term position in Mourinho's starting eleven remains undecided.

Reminder: Yan Diomandé makes Real Madrid history in La Liga.
