€120m! Barcelona find a replacement for Álvarez

Details: According to Fussballdaten, Julián Álvarez’s transfer to Barcelona is now in jeopardy due to Atlético’s firm stance, with the Madrid club unwilling to make negotiations easy for the Catalans regarding their star forward.

Amid these complications, Barcelona are already eyeing a blockbuster alternative—Inter captain Lautaro Martínez. The Argentine has emerged as one of the main options for the Catalan club in the hunt for a new centre forward.

However, any potential deal promises to be extremely expensive. Reports suggest that Inter value their talisman at up to €120 million and have no intention of letting their striker go easily.

This means that, should Barcelona ultimately fail to reach an agreement with Atlético for Álvarez, the Catalans could turn all their attention to another Argentine goal machine.

It’s worth noting that Lautaro remains Inter’s captain. Since joining the Milan giants, the striker has made 376 appearances and scored 175 goals.
