The Rodri transfer saga is growing ever more intense.

Details: According to SkySportsLyall, Manchester City have rejected a new offer from Barcelona for the 30-year-old Spanish midfielder. The Catalan giants tabled a £55m bid, but the City hierarchy were not satisfied with the amount.

Despite this latest rejection, talks between the clubs are far from over. Barcelona are working relentlessly to land one of Manchester City's key midfielders.

Earlier reports suggested the Catalans had made a verbal offer of €60m plus bonuses, while Manchester City have valued Rodri at €80m.

It's worth noting that Rodri's current contract with Manchester City runs until the summer of 2027, and Transfermarkt currently values the Spaniard at €55m.

During the 2025/26 campaign, Rodri made 33 appearances for Manchester City across all competitions, scoring twice but notching no assists. In total, the Spaniard logged 2,184 minutes on the pitch.

Reminder: The bidding war goes on! Barcelona send new offer to Manchester City for Rodri.
