Despite Lille's tough stance, Manchester City remains the most active contender for the midfielder and continues to discuss the terms of a potential transfer.
Bouaddi's stock soared even higher after the 2026 World Cup. The midfielder started all five matches for Morocco, clocking 384 minutes on the pitch. He especially stood out in the draw against Brazil—registering 86 touches and completing over 90% of his passes, making him one of the tournament's breakout stars.
Last season, Bouaddi firmly established himself in Lille's starting lineup. Across all competitions, the 18-year-old midfielder played 42 matches and provided one assist, racking up over 2,300 minutes in Ligue 1 alone. His consistency and maturity in the heart of midfield have caught the attention of several top European clubs.
