Although their licence is from curacao, they operate from Cyprus- something we've found to be somewhat familiar among online bookmakers.

Minimum and maximum rates

MelBet takes euros and dollars. The minimum stake you can make with MelBet is ₦95. A low minimum rate could benefit those who do not wish to gamble with a lot of money or are just nervous about the whole gambling process.

MelBet has one of the lowest maximum stakes on any betting website.

We have researched many sources of information, including forums and comments, to find out what the people of the internet had to say. And to be honest, it didn't look good.

41% of people described it as "bad". One man said they were frauds as he put money in, but it never showed up in his accounts. And another complained that he was locked out of his account.

One of the most frequent complaints was that the technical support wasn't much use.

However, on some sites, most of the review articles seem to be positive. So, it's clear that whilst MelBet does have issues that need sorting, they are a legitimate company that wants people to enjoy gambling with them.

How we evaluated the bookmaker

After using MelBet, we've come to our own conclusion outside of the reviews. Overall, the website itself seems fine. Nothing awful about it, although we can't see anything that makes it better than other bookmakers.

Cons

• Most of the bonuses are only for sports. Therefore there aren't too many casino bonus offers.
• The security is a bit weak, so you may need to be extra careful about keeping your password secure.
• Customer complaints are often not taken seriously, and many have complained about the technical support staff.

There are plenty of ways to add or take money from your account on MelBet.
Although interestingly, if you wish to pay with a bank card, you can only do so via ApplePay. Which we find incredibly odd. However, Apple Pay is a secure service.

If you wish to add or take money from your account, select the "$" on the top right, and select either "Deposit" or "Withdrawal", depending on what you wish to do.

Account replenishment

If you want to deposit money into your account, there is a minimum amount of ₦250.

The most popular method would probably be Apple Pay. However, you can also deposit using the following e-wallets: Efecty, Davivienda, ecoPayz, Neteller, and PSE.

If you would like, you could even pay with cryptocurrency. Many crypto deposit options exist, including Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Dogecoin.

Withdrawals

Interestingly, the withdrawal methods are different from the deposit methods. This is the first time we've seen an online bookmaker with deposit options that aren't withdrawal options (and vice versa).

If you want to withdraw in crypto, you can withdraw using the same cryptocurrencies as you can deposit with.

However, you cannot withdraw using a bank card. The e-wallets you can withdraw into are Jeton Wallet, WebMoney, Perfect Money, Sticpay, AirTM, Skrill, MuchBetter, ecoPayz, Neteller, and Payeer.

Commission

MelBet does not charge a commission on bets that their customers win. It's incredibly rare for a bookmaker to do so.

However, they have their own affiliate programme, which allows people to make a bit of money from promoting them. If you use MelBet through an affiliate, MelBet will take a 30% commission from the affiliate.

The primary function of melbet is to enable people to place bets on sporting events. They have a wide variety of sports. Of course, other functions include related actions such as adding money to your account, withdrawing money, viewing past bets, or viewing current bets.

Live

As mentioned previously, MelBet has a live casino. Users can play along with the dealer as they spread the cards. But, if card games aren't your thing, there are other options.

MelBet has live matches! Meaning that as the game happens, you can see what's going on. You can see the live score, and the betting odds will change in real-time.

Broadcast matches

For some matches, MelBet has live streaming, which allows you to see the score and watch the game, just as you would if you watched it on the T.V.

The only verification that melbet requires is email verification. You will not need to send in pictures of your I.D.

Safety and reliability

To be honest, the safety and reliability of MelBet is a little bit dubious.

The first issue is that you cannot pay with Visa or Mastercard but only with ApplePay. We find this a bit odd. Why can't people just pay with their credit or debit card?

The second issue is that there is no help or information for people with or at risk of gambling addiction. So, we would advise caution if you choose to use MelBet.
