QPR: character has already delivered two victories
Julien Stéphan's side began with a 3-1 victory over Portsmouth, then drew 0-0 with Bolton before beating Blackburn 2-1 in the previous round. In both of their wins, QPR fell behind during the match but managed to turn things around after the break.
That resilience has been one of the team's main strengths at the start of the season. The summer signings have added depth to the squad, while seven points from three rounds give the hosts plenty of confidence heading into this fixture.
Cardiff City: three consecutive draws since returning
Brian Barry-Murphy's side are also unbeaten in the league so far, but all three of their opening matches have ended in draws. After a 1-1 result against Wrexham and a 2-2 draw with Derby, the Welsh side played out another 2-2 draw, this time against Sheffield United.
