German tennis player Alexander Zverev comfortably advanced to the third round of Wimbledon 2024.
In his second-round match, the world No. 4 decisively defeated 30-year-old American tennis player Marcos Giron, who is ranked 46th in the ATP rankings, in straight sets.
Zverev dominated the first two sets, conceding only three games to his opponent – 6:1 and 6:2. In the final set, Giron managed to put up more of a fight, but Zverev still prevailed 6:4.
Zverev's next opponent will be Briton Cameron Norrie, who is ranked 42nd in the world.
