Zola Expresses Surprise Over McTominay’s Sale to Napoli

The departure of Scott McTominay, one of Manchester United’s key players, continues to puzzle many in the football world, including former Chelsea forward Gianfranco Zola.

Details: Zola shared his belief that the decision to sell the Scottish midfielder to Napoli remains incomprehensible to many in England, even if it was influenced by Manchester United’s financial difficulties.

Quote: "He’s one of the best signings of last summer. Here in England, people still can’t understand how Manchester United could let him go. Perhaps it was a decision related to financial fair play, but they still haven’t come to terms with it," Zola told Corriere della Sera.

Reminder: Previously, McTominay himself spoke about whether he had any regrets about leaving Manchester for Naples.
