Zizo’s Ongoing Struggle with Zamalek: Lawyer Reveals Club’s Response to Security Requests

The ongoing dispute between Ahmed Sayed Zizo and his club Zamalek continues to intensify, with Zizo's lawyer, Ashraf Abdel Aziz, revealing more details about the escalating tension.

Lawyer's Shocking Account: No Security Guarantees for Zizo

Speaking on DMC TV, Abdel Aziz revealed that because of the escalating tensions, he had contacted Zamalek president Hussein Labib to ask for security guarantees for Zizo in compliance with FIFA rules. However, the response he received was unexpected.

“I requested security guarantees for Zizo, especially given the current situation. But the president responded bluntly, saying: ‘I’m not the club’s security manager. I’m the president of Zamalek,’” Abdel Aziz explained.

Zizo’s Legal Standing: Still Under Contract with Zamalek

Despite widespread speculation that Zizo has agreed to join Al Ahly on a free transfer, Abdel Aziz clarified that the 29-year-old is still officially contracted to Zamalek until the end of the current season.

The lawyer confirmed that his client:

• Is ready to return to training.
• Only demands his legal and professional rights.
• Refuses to engage in any actions that violate FIFA regulations or compromise his safety.

“We’re not asking for anything beyond what’s legally due to Zizo,” the lawyer emphasized.

No Contract Renewal, No Resolution

Zamalek have already ruled out renewing Zizo's contract due to a breakdown in salary negotiations. The ongoing legal dispute has further strained relations, and despite Zizo’s request for a safe environment to return to training, a resolution seems increasingly unlikely.
