Zineddine Derrag suspended by CAF
The AS FAR player has been handed a three-month ban
This decision follows a positive doping test during the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
Moroccan club AS FAR announced this 10 April via a statement on its social media channels that its midfielder had been suspended. The sentence was handed down by the Disciplinary Committee of the Confederation of African Football on 8 April 2026.
In its statement, AS FAR explained that it had received notification from CAF of a positive test result for prohibited substances, following a test carried out after a 2025–2026 Champions League match. Consequently, the player has been handed a three-month suspension effective from 9 April 2026.
