Zimbabwean Midfielder Marshall Munetsi Joins Wolves on Deadline Day with Three-and-a-Half-Year Deal
Marshall Munetsi has officially joined Wolverhampton Wanderers from Stade Reims as a deadline-day move. The 28-year-old Zimbabwean midfielder has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with an option for an extra year.
Wolves signed Munetsi to improve their squad as they try to escape relegation. The former Orlando Pirates player reportedly cost the club about €20 million. Known for his flexibility and powerful presence, Munetsi played in 159 games for Reims, contributing 14 assists and scoring 21 goals.
In his announcement of the deal, Wolves chairman Jeff Shi said the team had put a lot of effort into acquiring an experienced midfield player at a crucial point in the season. Munetsi will join his old Reims colleague Emmanuel Agbadou at Molineux.
