The Serie A season may be over, but the drama continues in Italy's youth football competitions. It's on these pitches that first-team stars sometimes find themselves in hot water during their downtime.

Details: Yesterday saw a Primavera semi-final clash between Roma and Fiorentina. The "Viola" emerged victorious with a 2-1 win, but the real fireworks erupted after the final whistle. According to reports from Roma, first-team player Nicolo Zaniolo entered the opposition's dressing room and "engaged in provocative behavior towards several members of the Giallorossi youth squad."

Zaniolo himself tells a different story. Fiorentina's statement claims Zaniolo went into the Roma dressing room to encourage the youngsters and congratulate them on a strong season, but instead, he was met with insults and decided to leave the room.

Reminder: Zaniolo played for Roma from 2018 to 2023 and is currently on loan at Fiorentina from Turkish side Galatasaray.
