For the complete specifics of the decision that denied their appeal in the case of former head coach Jaime Pacheco, Zamalek has formally petitioned the Swiss Federal Court. The club wants to look into every option to settle the dispute and put an end to the case.

Swiss Court Upholds Pacheco's Claim

The Swiss Federal Court recently ruled in favor of Jaime Pacheco, ordering Zamalek to pay him €880,000 following the termination of his contract. Zamalek had attempted to negotiate a payment plan for the overdue amount, but Pacheco insisted on receiving the full payment.

Seeking Clarity for Resolution

In a statement released on Monday, Zamalek confirmed that the request for the court’s reasoning is part of the standard procedure in such cases. The club is looking for clarity on the ruling to determine the best way to address the outstanding issue efficiently.

Financial Struggles and Penalties for Zamalek

This occurs while Zamalek faces a number of financial difficulties. International sanctions were recently imposed on the club, including a penalty of $2.45 million for Moroccan attacker Khaled Boutayeb and a charge of about $1 million for Ghanaian player Benjamin Acheampong. Additionally, Zamalek has been fined more than $2 million for unpaid invoices to Sporting CP and former manager Jesualdo Ferreira's coaching staff.

Under president Hussein Labib, Zamalek's management is attempting to handle the mounting list of penalties that have made the club's financial status even more precarious.
