Zamalek Face Transfer Ban Pressure as Jaime Pacheco Refuses Payment Installments

Reports has confirmed that former head coach Jaime Pacheco has rejected the club’s proposal to pay his outstanding dues in installments, worsening the club’s ongoing registration ban crisis.
The Portuguese tactician is owed €880,000, a figure stemming from a legal ruling in his favor after Zamalek unilaterally terminated his contract.
The club’s appeal was dismissed, making the payment legally binding and non-negotiable in the eyes of FIFA and CAS.
No Room for Negotiation
In recent days, there have been multiple attempts to convince Pacheco to agree to a payment plan; nevertheless, the coach has refused to budge and has insisted on getting the entire sum in one payment.
This financial dispute is one of the main obstacles preventing Zamalek from registering new players, a problem the club’s board has labelled as their top priority to resolve.
Urgency Mounts
Unless they swiftly pay off the debt and remove the registration freeze, Zamalek could lose out on strengthening their team as the summer transfer season draws near.
According to reports, the club's management is searching for a solution nonstop.
