A source within Zamalek's board of directors revealed that the club has sent a letter to the US Embassy in Cairo to verify the validity of Ahmed Mostafa ‘Zizou’ obtaining a tourist visa to enter the United States.
The move came after the player confirmed during the investigation session that he obtained the visa for a purely tourist purpose, and not for any other reasons.
Zizou filed an official grievance against the sanctions imposed on him by the club's board of directors, which included a 25 per cent deduction from his salary, in addition to other disciplinary measures based on the football manager's report.
In his grievance submitted to the legal department, the player attached the justifications he believes prove the validity of his position, especially with regard to his absence from collective training for 25 days, which the club considered as a rebellion.
