Zamalek defeats Petrojet to secure its participation in the Confederation next season!

Zamalek continued their strong form in the Egyptian Premier League with a dominant 3-1 win over Petrojet on Saturday evening in the eighth round of the competition's second phase.
The match saw Petrojet take an early lead through Rashad El-Metwaly in the 26th minute, but Zamalek quickly responded. Hossam Abdelmagid leveled the score from the penalty spot in the 30th minute after referee Mustafa El-Shohdy awarded a spot-kick.
The White Knights took control in the second half, with Ahmed Abdelrahim "Eisho" putting them ahead in the 50th minute. The victory was sealed when Petrojet goalkeeper Omar Salah scored an unfortunate own goal, completing Zamalek's comeback.
The match ended on a sour note for Petrojet as Mostafa Shelby received a straight red card in stoppage time (90+4'), ruling him out of their next fixture against Pharco.
With this result, Zamalek solidifies their third-place position in the league table with 44 points, securing their spot in next season's CAF Confederation Cup. Meanwhile, Petrojet remains eighth with 26 points.
The win reinforces Zamalek's ambitions for continental football next season while maintaining pressure on the league's top sides.
