Zalaka Stays Blue: Pyramids Say No to Zamalek Approach

Pyramids FC have made a firm decision to retain winger Mahmoud Zalaka ahead of the 2024–25 season, rejecting interest from Zamalek who were keen to secure his signature during the ongoing summer transfer window.
Following an impressive loan spell at Ceramica Cleopatra, Zalaka caught the attention of several top-flight clubs, most notably Zamalek, who viewed him as a priority target after his standout performances last season.
Return Confirmed, No Sale Planned
According to Al-Masry Al-Youm, Pyramids management have opted to recall Zalaka for the upcoming campaign, viewing him as a key asset amid looming changes in their attacking department.
With Ibrahim Adel reportedly close to securing a move to Europe, Pyramids are determined to keep hold of Zalaka to strengthen squad depth and maintain domestic competitiveness.
This decision shuts the door on a potential summer switch to Zamalek, at least for now, as the Sky Blues build their squad around rising talents for what promises to be a defining season domestically and in Africa.
