Zaidu Sanusi Ruled Out of FC Porto vs Sporting Lisbon Portuguese Cup Semi-Final Second Leg

FC Porto have been dealt a setback ahead of their crucial Portuguese Cup semi-final second leg against Sporting Lisbon, as Zaidu Sanusi has been ruled out with an ankle injury.

The Nigerian international picked up the injury during Porto’s league encounter with Tondela last weekend. Since then, he has been undergoing recovery and was notably absent from training on Tuesday, raising concerns about his availability for the high-stakes clash.

Head coach Francesco Farioli has now confirmed that the left-back will not feature in the upcoming fixture. Speaking via the club’s official channels, Farioli provided a brief update on Sanusi’s condition.

“Zaidu will remain out as he is still recovering,” the Porto boss stated.
