Former Manchester United defender Ashley Young has been in football long enough to see his children reach an age where they’re now making their own professional debuts.

Details: Young's 18-year-old son, Tyler, debuted for Peterborough United, currently competing in England’s League One, during an EFL Trophy match against Stevenage. The game ended with a 2-0 victory for the hosts, with Young Jr. playing 28 minutes.

Reminder: Tyler’s father, Ashley, will turn 40 next July. Despite being in what many would consider an advanced age for a footballer, he continues to perform at a high level in the Premier League, representing Everton.

The 39-year-old former Manchester United player is a mainstay for Sean Dyche’s squad, missing just two of Everton’s seven matches this season, one due to suspension.
