The 2026 World Cup is fast approaching, and one of Brazil’s players, who also represents Chelsea, is now at risk of missing the tournament.
Details: According to Mario Cortegana of The Athletic, Chelsea winger Estevao could be ruled out of the 2026 World Cup because of the injury he suffered in the match against Manchester United. He has sustained a grade four hamstring injury. As a result, his chances of taking part in the World Cup are low.
This season, Estevao has made 36 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions, scoring eight goals and providing four assists.
We reported earlier that Chelsea set a historic unwanted record for the first time in 114 years.
Reminder: It has been confirmed that attacking midfielder Cole Palmer and forward Joao Pedro will miss Chelsea’s match against Brighton due to injuries.
