Young Barcelona star wins The Youngest Award

Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal has won The Youngest Award at Golden Boy 2023, journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported.
By the way, The Youngest Award is a special award designed to honour the youngest player to ever appear on the Golden Boy podium.
Lamine Yamal was born in Mataro, Spain, to a Moroccan and an Equatorial Guinean mother. He spent most of his youth in Barcelona after joining the club's academy in 2014.
In April 2023, Lamine was first included in the club's application for the La Liga match against Atlético Madrid, but did not appear on the field in that match. On 29 April 2023, he made his La Liga debut as a substitute in a match against Real Betis. At the age of 15 years and 290 days, Yamal became the youngest player in Barcelona's La Liga history. On 20 August 2023, he made his first appearance in Barcelona's starting line-up for the Spanish league game against Cadiz, and at the age of 16 years and 38 days became the youngest La Liga player in the 21st century to start a match from the first minute. A week later, on 27 August, he scored an assist in a match against Villarreal and, at the age of 16 years and 45 days, became the youngest author of an assist in La Liga in the 21st century.
On 2 October 2023, Lamine Yamal extended his contract with Barcelona until 30 June 2026. A day later, on 4 October, Lamine was included in the team's starting line-up for the Champions League match against Porto, and at the age of 16 years and 83 days, he became the youngest player in the history of the tournament to play from the first minute.
