Former Shakhtar Donetsk player Nery Castillo has made a scandalous statement regarding Mircea Lucescu.
Details: According to dataref México, while the sporting community is expressing condolences to the family of the legendary coach, the Mexican ex-footballer published a message filled with pain and anger. Castillo recalled an old grievance against Lucescu, accusing the late coach of inhuman cruelty during one of the toughest moments of his life.
In his controversial message, Castillo noted that he was happy for Lucescu's son, Razvan, who was able to be by his father's side in his final hours, but immediately turned to heavy accusations.
"You didn't allow me to be with my mother when she was in a coma, and you didn't give me the chance to say goodbye to her at the funeral," wrote Nery.
The footballer, whose transfer to Shakhtar was a record at the time, poured out his resentment years later, blaming the coach's strict discipline and demands for depriving him of the chance to spend his last moments with his closest loved one.
