Yehvann Diouf, OGC Nice's hero in the French Cup quarter-finals

The Senegalese goalkeeper helped his club qualify for the semi-finals against FC Lorient.

Yehvann Diouf was back on Wednesday 4 March, in Claude Puel's starting 11 for Nice's trip to the Stade du Moustoir. The Senegalese international seized the opportunity to prove to the French tactician that he could still count on him.

In a quarter-final match marked by suspense until the very end, it took a Yehvann Diouf at his best to qualify Nice. Lorient and Nice had to go through the fateful penalty shootout before a winner was decided. And that's where the Senegalese goalkeeper carried his club. Yehvann Diouf saved two penalties in the shootout to defeat Lorient.

Thanks to his exceptional performance, Nice won the match and advanced to the semi-finals of the Coupe de France. The hero of the evening on 4 March at the Stade du Moustoir, Yehvann Diouf brought joy to Nice fans.
