Yaya Touré prepares for his first full-time head coaching role

Former Manchester City midfielder Yaya Touré has been working in coaching since 2021, but so far, his experience in top-flight football has been limited to assistant roles on the coaching staff. Now, however, a new opportunity has emerged for him to take the reins and lead a team as head coach.
Details: According to Sasha Tavolieri, the 42-year-old will become the head coach of Belgian side Daring. Notably, Daring is also part of John Textor's club network, which includes Lyon, Botafogo, and, until recently, Crystal Palace. Touré is currently assembling his coaching staff, with whom he will begin his tenure in Brussels.
Reminder: Daring competes in the Belgian second division, where they finished third last season. As an assistant coach, Touré has worked at Olimpik Donetsk, Akhmat Grozny, and Standard Liège, and since November 2023, he has held a similar role with the Saudi Arabia national team, working alongside Roberto Mancini and now assisting Hervé Renard.
