The 16-year-old prodigy from Barcelona, Lamine Yamal, delivered an exceptional performance yesterday for the Spanish national team against Brazil (3-3). The winger participated in both attacks that led to Spain being awarded penalties and also contributed with an assist for Dani Olmo's goal.
When Yamal was substituted in the second compensated minute, Santiago Bernabéu bid farewell to the talent with ovations.
Yamal became the first Barcelona player since 2015 to receive applause at the home stadium of Real Madrid. This is only the fourth such occurrence. Previously, Santiago Bernabéu applauded Ronaldinho, Andres Iniesta and Diego Maradona.
